The New York Giants have wrapped up yet another training camp practice. Let’s quickly recap what went on.
OMG!!! It’s Happening!
Someone other than Ereck Flowers apparently took some first-team left tackle reps on Wednesday. Hard to believe this won’t draw some over-the-top reaction, as Dan Duggan of NJ Advance Media noted.
Something I'm sure won't be blown out of proportion: Chad Wheeler is getting some first-team reps at LT.

Sterling Shepard’s Day
The Giants are continuing to bring Sterling Shepard along slowly after last week’s scare with his ankle.

Rosas Gets His Turn
Wednesday was Aldrick’s Rosas’ turn to kick field goals at Giants camp.
Rosas 3-4. Wide right on the last one. Snap looked a bit low. #Giants

Davis Webb gets 11-on-11 work
Until Wednesday, Webb hadn’t gotten any work during regular team periods. His only work had come during the 7-on-7 “opportunity” period for the younger players. Coach Ben McAdoo confirmed after practice that Webb will see action Friday night.
Special Guest
Former Giant defensive end Osi Umenyiora was at practice on Wednesday.
Injury Updates
Mykkele Thompson (quad), Robert Thomas (soreness), Ryan Murphy (unknown), Kevin Snead (hamstring), Mark Herzlich (stinger), Keenan Robinson (concussion) and Tavarres King (ankle) didn’t work. Reporters on hand saw Robinson outside for the first time since he entered the concussion protocol. Rookie defensive end Avery Moss, who left Tuesday’s practice with a shoulder injury, worked on Wednesday.
Next Stop ... The Preseason
The Giants will be off on Thursday. They will open their preseason schedule on Friday when the host the Pittsburgh Steelers.
