Good morning, New York Giants’ fans! Happy Wednesday! Here are a few notes to get your day started.

Jackrabbit: Eli Apple Can Be “Special”

A few days ago, second-year cornerback Eli Apple said he had designs on being the NFL’s best cornerback. How good can Apple be?

“Oh, he can be good. As a matter of fact, he can be special,” said Giants’ cornerback Janoris Jenkins. “He’s long, he’s physical, he’s fast. But once again, it’s about fine-tuning the details of the game and understand what’s coming and understanding formation. And once he gets that down, I think he’ll be pretty special.”

Richburg: Giants Making Strides In Run Game

Giants’ center Weston Richburg is optimistic about the team’s running game, which struggled a year ago.

“I think we’ve done some good things so far.,” he said on Tuesday. “I think we just understand the run game as a whole better. We’ve had time in the off-season to talk about it and think it over, go over some things that didn’t go well last year and put those things into practice this year. I think we’ve made some good strides so far.”

Michael Kay Show Roundup

The Michael Kay Show (ESPN Radio, 98.7 FM) was broadcasting from Giants’ practice on Tuesday. Here are a few of the highlights:

  • McAdoo said he believes quarterback Eli Manning is “better” than ever. “He’s having the best camp he’s had since I’ve been here.”
  • Co-owner John Mara says Colin Kaepernick is not being black-balled and will find a team this year.
  • Manning lauded the work ethic of his teammates. He said he has teammates who “want to be great.”
