What should the over-under be on “dust-ups” in Saturday’s New York Giants training camp practice, which promises to be the most grueling of camp thus far?
For argument’s sake, let’s put it at 1.5.
Giants’ players have had “family squabbles” in each of this week’s trio of padded practices. Coach Ben McAdoo has not expressed any real displeasure with any of the extra-curricular stuff, so don’t be surprised if there is more of it Saturday.
Regardless of any of that, though, Saturday is important for the Giants.
“We’re going to crank it back up. It’s going to be a heavy situational football day. We’ll have some pads on. It’ll be a good practice for us,” McAdoo said.
The Giants are expected to practice for more than two hours.
Here is what McAdoo said about Saturday practice when camp opened:
“Saturday the 5th will be a big practice for us. We’ll have a chance to hit a lot of situational football with pads on. Get some one-on-ones and things like that in. I think we’ll start to really learn a lot about ourselves then.”
