The New York Giants face the New England Patriots in their final preseason tune-up Thursday night. This game will be less about the starters, who will play little if at all, than about players trying to prove they deserve some of the final roster spots that are up grabs.

“We want to give every player who’s on the bubble an opportunity to show what they can do,” said coach Ben McAdoo about his plan for Thursday.

Some of the roster bubble battles include backup quarterback, tight end, defensive end, wide receiver, linebacker, cornerback and safety. Perhaps even reserve offensive linemen. So, there are competitions for spots across the 53-man roster.
