EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — New York Giants starters are expected to play into the third quarter Saturday night as the Giants host the New York Jets in the annual MetLife Bowl. The big question — can the Giants’ offense, which has totaled a measly six field goals in two preseason losses, find the end zone?
With quarterback Eli Manning seeing his most extensive action of the preseason, we’ll see. Manning will be without Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) and Brandon Marshall (shoulder).
Here is the full list of Giants who will not suit up Saturday night:
WR Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle)
WR Brandon Marshall (shoulder)
WR Tavarres King (ankle)
WR Dwayne Harris (upper body)
CB Michael Hunter Jr. (concussion)
LB Mark Herzlich (stinger)
LB Keenan Robinson (concussion)
The Giants would also like to get some production from a running game that has averaged only 3.2 yards per attempt in the first two games.
The game will be televised on NBC4-NY. Use this as your first-half open thread. Chris will be along at halftime with a second-half open thread. Enjoy the game!
