Good morning, New York Giants fans! Here are a few notes to get your day started.
Travis Rudolph Gets Opportunity
Injuries to Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall, along with the recent waiving of Kevin Snead and Darius Powe due to injuries, means opportunity for the Giants young wide receivers. One of those is undrafted free agent Travis Rudolph.
“Regardless if they are playing or not, I feel like every opportunity is my opportunity to make the most of it,” said Rudolph, who had three receptions for 30 yards in the first two games. “I don’t look at it like somebody is down, so now it’s my time to shine. It’s next man up, so once you get put up to the pedestal, you got to take advantage of it. I am just grabbing my opportunity, taking it a day at a time, and just getting quality reps.”

Justin Pugh-Mo Wilkerson feud highlights annual Giants-Jets game - NY Daily News
“Yeah, a red dot,” Pugh said Thursday with a smirk. “I was laughing about it. I know Mo. I see him at charity events and Rangers games. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal, but everyone else does. All of the O-linemen are giving me s--t about it. They’re like, ‘Pugh’s got a red dot on his head.’”
That’s right: Pugh’s day of reckoning has come. The Giants’ loud and proud left guard is less than 48 hours away from having to answer for his July 7 tweet digging at New York’s less successful franchise.
“At the airport and I forgot a hat. They only have @nyjets hats. All of them untouched. Literally not one @Giants hat left…Wonder why?” the 6-5, 311-pound Pugh wrote earlier this summer.
