On Friday night, the New York Giants will play their first preseason game of the 2017 preseason. With projected regular season starters playing a limited time or not at all, these preseason games are the best extended chance for others to cement their roles or just make the roster.
While preseason performance can be a big part of the evaluation of these players, they have been practicing in training camp over the past few weeks. Before the Giants hit the field on Friday night, we decided to take a quick look at some of the few players who have seen their stock rise and some who have seen their stock fall during training camp.
Things like playing time, projected roles, and injuries were considered for those who appear. One consideration for stock down, Mykkele Thompson, was already released earlier today.
Of course these types of lists are going to be very fluid throughout the preseason and only represent how we believe these players might currently be viewed.
