New York Giants’ WR Roger Lewis Has OVI Charge Dismissed

Now faces competition in a crowded WR group

NFL: New York Giants at Pittsburgh Steelers Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

New York Giants wide receiver Roger Lewis had charges of operating a vehicle while impaired dismissed on Monday, per a report from ESPN.

Per ESPN, the court fined Lewis total fines of $175 for driving in marked lanes and a window tint violation.

It is unsure whether the Giants nor the league will issue any other penalties at this time.

Lewis, 23, made the Giants’ roster as an undrafted free agent out of Bowling Green last season. He played in 13 games with seven receptions, two for touchdowns. Lewis was also used as a gunner on punt coverage teams.

Lewis faces competition for a roster spot this season from several players. Among them are veteran Tavarres King, rookie undrafted free agent Travis Rudolph and Darius Powe, who spent last season on the Giants’ practice squad.

Giants’ players report for training camp on Thursday, and the first practice is schedule for Friday.
