When the New York Giants open training camp on Friday there will be competition for spots across the roster. Let’s break down the unofficial depth chart (there isn’t an official one), which is just our view of what the various position competitions look like on Day 1 of camp.

Please don’t flip out if I have someone listed third team who you think should be second team, or vice versa. This is just a rough outline.

I honestly had no idea how to list the tight ends, so I just left Will Tye first team for now since he was last season’s starter. The second defensive tackle could be either Dalvin Tomlinson or Robert Thomas entering camp. We’ll see.

The chart also shows that there are quite a few wide receivers and defensive ends hoping to claim roster spots.

Be sure to stick with us all week as we get you ready for training camp 2017. It’s almost time, Giants fans!
