USA Today: Giants’ Receiving Corps Best In NFL

Big Blue’s combination of Beckham, Marshall, Engram and Shepard “could be unrelenting”

NFL: New York Giants-Minicamp William Hauser-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Giants, with the addition of Brandon Marshall, are now being considered to have one of the best receiving corps in the NFL. USA Today, in fact, believes the Giants combination of Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon Marshall, Evan Engram and Sterling Shepard is the best in the league.

1. New York Giants: Odell Beckham Jr. has never had fewer than 90 catches, 1,300 yards or 10 TDs in a season. The hype is more than justified. Fellow WR Sterling Shepard caught 65 passes and scored eight times as a rookie. Now mix in WR Brandon Marshall, a red zone force who’s basically a tight end, along with first-round TE Evan Engram, who’s basically a wideout given 4.4 speed that probably makes him the fastest guy in the bunch. This aerial assault could be unrelenting.

The Giants finished 17th in the NFL in passing yards per game. They hope that the additions of Marshall and Engram will vault them towards the top of that list this season.
