When former New York Giants guard Chris Snee decided to pursue a job in scouting, he hoped that job would be for the Giants. Now that it isn’t, with Snee instead having landed a role as an area scout for Tom Coughlin and the Jacksonville Jaguars, Snee told the New York Post that he is “over it.”
“I can say I was initially disappointed I wasn’t given a call,’’ Snee said. “Inquired about something with the Giants, didn’t hear back, and so I moved on.’’
Snee broke down some film for the Giants back in 2015, when they selected Ereck Flowers in the first round and Bobby Hart in the seventh.
“Just because you played doesn’t mean you can break down film,’’ Snee said. “Do I think I can? Yes. I studied the game during my career. I enjoy sitting and watching film.’’
The Post also reported that Snee served as a consultant for the Jaguars for the 2017 NFL Draft, and that he will be in Jacksonville to work with players during mini-camp and part of training camp.
