Eli Manning, his brother Peyton Manning and his father Archie Manning host an annual Manning Passing Academy in Thibodaux, LA. At the camp, Manning talked with Rhett Lewis of NFL Network about the academy and about the upcoming Giants season.
This year’s camp included Heisman winner Lamar Jackson and USC quarterback Sam Darnold. It also features some of the best high school and college quarterbacks in the country. Both Manning brothers are at the camp, helping these young quarterback grow to be better in their respective leagues.
Manning said that he sets time away everyday to improve as a quarterback. He said that it is hard to unplug from the game. He also talked about the additions that the Giants brought in this off-season.
“We have a lot of weapons, a lot of guys that want the ball. They deserve it because of the way that they practice. I’m looking forward to having them all in there at the same time and working and moving guys around and going with the best matchup,” Manning said.
Manning also went on to defend Odell Beckham.
“He’s figuring out what he needs to do to get better,” Manning said. “He did a great jump on getting ready for the minicamp, came in looking strong and fast and he’ll be ready to go.”
