Last week former New York Giants quarterback Ryan Nassib finally appeared on the free agency radar when he was among a group of players to work out for the Dallas Cowboys.
He ended up leaving the Cowboys’ facilities without a contract.
As it turns out, that may have been for the best, as he seems to have found himself in a — potentially — more attractive situation.
NFL.com insider Ian Rappaport is reporting that Eli Manning’s former backup is expected to sign with the New Orleans Saints.
Free agent QB Ryan Nassib is expected to sign with the #Saints, source said. They've always been high on him.

The timing was never right for Nassib to have a realistic chance to take over for Manning as the Giants’ next franchise (or even starting) quarterback, and given Manning’s durability, Nassib rarely saw the field outside of preseason.
By signing with the Saints, Nassib has the opportunity to compete for a roster spot with Chase Daniel. With Drew Brees entering his 17th season and age 38, the possibility exists that the 26 year old Nassib will have the opportunity to compete with Garrett Grayson for the eventual starting job.
