Have the New York Giants used free agency to improve more than any other NFC East team? Three of four ESPN NFC East beat writers believe that to be the case.
Jordan Ranaan (Giants), Todd Archer (Dallas Cowboys) and John Kiem (Washington Redskins) all chose the Giants when asked which team in the division improved the most in free agency. The lone dissenting voice was Philadelphia Eagles reporter Tim McManus who, of course, chose the Eagles.
Archer said the Giants were “more economical” this year than when they spent more than $200 million a year ago on defensive upgrades, but still improved the most.
Keim gave the Giants his vote simply because “the Giants win this category simply because they didn’t lose like the other teams did.”
Ranaan picked the Giants, and said “By keeping together an 11-5 team and adding some necessary pieces, the Giants have had the best free agency period in the division.”
