Wide receiver Sterling Shepard was back on the injury report Wednesday as the New York Giants held the first practice of the Steve Spagnuolo era as head coach in preparations for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Shepard (hamstring), Jason Pierre-Paul (finger) and Chad Wheeler (concussion) were riding the bikes or working on the indoor field as the team practiced outside.
Of note, offensive lineman Justin Pugh (back) was taking part in the early portion of practice that was open to media.
Notes
Quarterback Davis Webb appeared to be running the scout team by himself — a change from previous weeks when he was splitting scout team reps with the other backup quarterback.
As media entered the field to watch the stretching portion of practice, Frank Sinatra’s “That’s Life” played over the speakers.
