The New York Giants have released their list of inactive players and there's a bit of good news to be had.
The Giants will be getting second year wide receiver Sterling Shepard (migraines) and middle linebacker B.J. Goodson (ankle) back from injury.
Unfortunately, they will be without defensive captain, weakside linebacker Jonathan Casillas (neck/ankle). The secondary will also be shorthanded with Eli Apple inactive - Apple was a late addition to the injury report with a hip injury.
The offense will be without Justin Pugh, who is still dealing with a back injury. That's bad news for Geno Smith, who already has to make his first start as a Giant amid a firestorm of criticism over the team dealt with Eli Manning this week.
