B.J. Goodson is the latest member of the New York Giants starting defense who will finish the season on injured reserve. Goodson, who has been fighting through an ankle injury, was placed on IR Wednesday. Wide receiver Marquis Bundy, who had spent the season on the team’s practice squad, takes his spot on the 53-man roster.

Goodson, the team’s starting middle linebacker, played in only seven games this season. He is one of several starting defenders on IR. Safety Landon Collins (broken forearm) was also placed on IR this week. In addition, linebackers Jonathan Casillas and Keenan Robinson and cornerback Janoris Jenkins are on IR.

Offensive starters on IR include Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon Marshall, Weston Richburg, Justin Pugh and D.J. Fluker.

In all, the Giants have 22 players on injured reserve.

Bundy, 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, has never played in an NFL game. He was signed by the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent last season and spent most of the year on the team’s practice squad.

The Giants also added wide receiver Canaan Severin and defensive lineman Kristjan Sokoli to the practice squad.
