NFL picks, predictions against the point spread, Week 15

Looking into Jesse’s crystal ball

NFL: Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Denver Broncos (-2.5) at Indianapolis Colts

The Broncos are one of the worst teams in the league right now and I can’t trust them as road favorites across country.

Pick: Colts

Chicago Bears (+5.5) at Detroit Lions

The Bears don’t move the ball enough to keep up with the Lions who can score a ton of points.

Pick: Lions

Los Angeles Chargers (-1) at Kansas City Chiefs

This is a huge game for the Chiefs and even though they have struggled they are a well coach team with pretty good talent. Kareem Hunt was carrying the team early and hasn’t been able to find as much game on the ground the past couple of months, it looks like the Chiefs offense has figured some things out and are playing better there. I like the home divisional dogs.

Pick: Chiefs

Philadelphia Eagles (-7.5) at New York Giants

The Eagles are so much better than the Giants even with Nick Foles. The problem is the Giants just can’t score any points. And, unfortunately, they are so beaten up on defense they aren’t excelling there, either.

Pick: Eagles

Green Bay Packers (+3) at Carolina Panthers

A triumphant return for Aaron Rodgers? I’m not sure about that. The Panthers are clicking on all cylinders. They are running the ball well and their defense is suffocating. We’re also not sure whether or not Rodgers will have any rust. I think the Panthers are more talented and the right side here.

Pick: Panthers

Cincinnati Bengals (+10.5) at Minnesota Vikings

The Bengals defense is good enough and I don’t trust the Vikings offense enough to lay double digits.

Pick: Bengals

Miami Dolphins (off) at Buffalo Bills

There’s no line in this game yet, but I’m rooting for the Bills.

Houston Texans (+10.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars should win this game but I just don’t like to lay double digit points in divisional games, especially with an offense I can’t trust.

Pick: Jaguars

New York Jets (+15.5) at New Orleans Saints

Josh McCown as had the Jets playing at a level they haven’t been at a long time, but he’s out and the Jets offense might look real bad, still 15.5 point covers are always a high-risk proposition.

Pick: Jets

Arizona Cardinals (+4.5) at Washington

Washington is really beat up.

Pick: Cardinals cover the 4.5

Baltimore Ravens (-7) at Cleveland Browns

Lets’ go Browns.

Pick: Browns

Los Angeles Rams (+1.5) at Seattle Seahawks

I actually like the Rams straight up. I think they have enough defensive speed and pass rushing to give Seahawks major problems. They also have perhaps the best offense in the league. They have played well against the Seahawks even when they were poorly coached the past few seasons.

Pick: Rams

New England Patriots (-3) at Pittsburgh Steelers

The Patriots seem to have the Steelers’ number.

Pick: Patriots

Tennessee Titans (+2) at San Francisco 49ers

Jimmy Garoppolo is the New York Giants MVP. He is helping the Giants more than anyone on the Giants is this year by continuing to pile up victories and launch the Giants into the No. 2 pick.

Pick: 49ers

Dallas Cowboys (-3) at Oakland Raiders

The Raiders just can’t get out of their own way.

Pick: Cowboys -3

Atlanta Falcons (-6) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Have you seen the Buccaneers play pass defense Matt Ryan might throw for 500 yards?

Pick: Falcons
