New York Giants’ updated depth chart: The faces keep on changing

Who are these Giants, anyway?

NFL: Los Angeles Rams at New York Giants NorthJersey.com-USA TODAY Sports

Injuries and suspensions have had the New York Giants’ 53-man roster in a constant state of flux for the past few weeks. Let’s see what it looks like today. By the way, congratulations if you can name the entire roster without having to look it up.

Offense

Position First Team Second Team Third Team
Position First Team Second Team Third Team
LT Nate Solder Chad Wheeler
LG Will Hernandez John Greco
C Jon Halapio Evan Brown
RG Patrick Omameh Spencer Pulley
RT Ereck Flowers Chad Wheeler
TE Evan Engram Scott Simonson
TE Rhett Ellison Scott Simonson
QB Eli Manning Alex Tanney, Kyle Lauletta
WR Sterling Shepard Cody Latimer Kaelin Clay
WR Odell Beckham Jr. Russell Shepard
RB Saquon Barkley Wayne Gallman Jonathan Stewart
FB Shane Smith

The Giants continue to list Justin Pugh as the first-team left guard, John Jerry as the right guard and D.J. Fluker as a backup. We know, though, that isn’t how they have been lining up. The Giants also list Paul Perkins as the starter at running back. I took the liberty of adjusting that, since it so obviously is no longer the case.

Defense

There are changes at all three levels — defensive line, linebacker, secondary — since the last time we updated this.

The Giants actually list Shane Vereen as both first-team punt and kickoff returner. Ed Eagan has been handling punt return, so I put him in that spot.
