Events of the weekend in the NFL left the New York Giants’ position in the 2018 NFL Draft order unchanged. The 2-9 Giants would still have the No. 3 overall pick in the draft if it were held this week.

The 0-11 Cleveland Browns still have the first pick after being beaten by the Cincinnati Bengals, 30-16, on Sunday. The 1-10 San Francisco 49ers, with their lone victory coming at the Giants’ expense, remain in the second spot.

ESPN’s Football Power Index projects that the Giants will end up with the fourth overall pick behind the Browns, 49ers Indianapolis Colts (currently 3-8).

One thing that did happen Sunday was that the Giants were officially eliminated from the playoffs. That had been a foregone conclusion for weeks, but now it’s reality, with five games to play.
