Landon Collins had his best game of the season Sunday in the New York Giants’ 12-9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. Collins has been recognized for his work by being named NFC Defensive Player of the Week.
The third-year safety had a career-high 14 tackles (10 solo) and an interception. Collins was named Defensive Player of the Week twice during the 2016 season.
The game against Kansas City was the Giants’ best defensive performance of a disappointing season.
“We played defense more like we did last year,” Collins said after the game. “With instinct, we didn’t really have to think about anything. It was fun.”
Collins and the Giants face the Washington Redskins on Thanksgiving night. See our Giants-Redskins Hub Page for complete coverage.
