The New York Giants will be without three linebackers on Sunday when they face the San Francisco 49ers. B.J. Goodson (ankle), Devon Kennard (quad) and Keenan Robinson (quad) were all declared out by the Giants on Friday.
That means the Giants will be relying heavily on newly re-signed Kelvin Sheppard, along with undrafted rookies Curtis Grant and Calvin Munson. Defensive captain Jonathan Casillas, also a linebacker, is questionable. Casillas has been out with a neck injury.
Cornerback Donte Deayon, who missed last week’s game with an ankle injury, is listed as doubtful for Sunday.
Munson (quad) and defensive ends Olivier Vernon (ankle) and Kerry Wyn (knee) are listed as questionable. Vernon has not played since Week 4.
Offensive lineman Justin Pugh, who missed last week’s game with a back injury, is not on the report. So, he should be expected to play.
