The fifth week of the NFL gets its start on Thursday night as the New England Patriots travel to Tampa, Fla.. to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The game is slated to start at 8:25 p.m. and can be found on the NFL Network and CBS.
The Buccaneers come into tonight’s game after defeating the Giants on Sunday, 25-23. Tampa Bay nearly lost the game due to three missed field goals and an extra point by its kicker Nick Folk. They currently have the 9th best offense in football, averaging 362.5 yards per game this season.
The Patriots come in following a loss to the Carolina Panthers last week. Luckily for New England, Tom Brady is very good coming off a loss on the road. He is 12-3 in his career when coming off a loss on the road. The Patriots struggles haven’t come from their offense though. The Patriots defense is last in the NFL in total defense, allowing 456.8 yards per game this season.
The Patriots come into tonight’s game as 5.5-point favorites.
