Defensive end Olivier Vernon did not practice on Thursday, casting doubt on the possibility that he could return to the New York Giants’ lineup Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.
Vernon has missed the last two games with an ankle injury. He practiced in a limited fashion on Wednesday, but did not practice at all Thursday. The Giants alsp placed romeo Okwara on IR this week, so their depth at defensive end is being tested.
Wide receiver Sterling Shepard, who missed last week’s game with an ankle injury, was limited for the second straight day. With Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall out for the year, and Shepard not playing last week, the Giants completed only two passes to wide receivers.
