Amidst everything else swirling around the 0-5 New York Giants, they have a prime time game vs. the Denver Broncos to prepare for. And it looks like they are going to do it with a severely depleted roster, far beyond the wide receivers they lost last week against the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Giants had six players miss practice for the second straight day, and defensive end Romeo Okwara apparently suffered a knee injury during Thursday’s workout.
Did not practice
LB Jonathan Casillas (neck)
S Landon Collins (ankle)
RB Paul Perkins (ribs)
C Weston Richburg (concussion)
WR Sterling Shepard (ankle)
DE Olivier Vernon (ankle)
Limited participation
DE Romeo Okwara (knee)
The Giants are, of course, awash in controversy after the indefinite suspension of respected cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. The Giants are 12-point underdogs to the home-standing Broncos.
