New York Giants defensive end Olivier Vernon, playing despite an ankle injury that limited him during practice all week, re-aggravated the ankle in the first half against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Vernon has been ruled out. Kerry Wynn started the second half in Vernon’s place.
Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a finger injury that looked quite painful, perhaps a dislocation, during the second quarter. He returned to the game.
Wide receiver Brandon Marshall went to the locker room late in the second quarter for an IV. Right tackle Justin Pugh left briefly after taking a shot to the back, but quickly returned to the game.
Running back Paul Perkins appears to be out with a rib injury, having been replaced by Wayne Gallman. Center Weston Richburg is being evaluated for a concussion.
More on Giants’ injuries later.
