The New York Giants have, as every Giants’ fan will proudly tell you, won the Super Bowl each of the last two times the team has reached the playoffs. Of course, Giants’ fans will quietly mention that it’s been five years since they last visited the postseason.
So, Super Bowl odds might not mean a whole lot to Giants’ fans as long as their team is still playing. Oddsmakers, though, post them anyway and Bovada currently lists the Giants with 16-1 odds of winning Super Bowl 51.
That makes the Giants the eighth betting choice among the 12 playoffs teams. Only the sixth-seeded Detroit Lions (66-1) have longer odds among the six NFC playoff teams. The Houston Texans, Miami Dolphins and Oakland Raiders are all also listed at 66-1.
Here are the complete odds from Bovada:
New England Patriots 19/10
Dallas Cowboys 4/1
Green Bay Packers 7/1
Pittsburgh Steelers 8/1
Atlanta Falcons 9/1
Kansas City Chiefs 9/1
Seattle Seahawks 14/1
New York Giants 16/1
Detroit Lions 66/1
Houston Texans 66/1
Miami Dolphins 66/1
Oakland Raiders 66/1
