Linebacker Jonathan Casillas (ribs) and safety Darian Thompson (shoulder) were once against listed as limited participants in practice Thursday for the New York Giants as they prepare for their season-opening game Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.
The only other player on the injury report for the Giants was newly-acquired defensive tackle Robert Thomas. He missed practice with an illness.
Wide receiver/kick returner Dwayne Harris was not listed on the injury report, but reporters saw Harris being wheeled around the facility post practice with what was being called heat exhaustion.
For Dallas, quarterback Tony Romo (back), defensive end Charles Tapper (back) and linebacker Mark Nzeocha (Achilles) did not practice. Reserve guard Ronald Leary (groin) was limited.
If Thompson can’t play, third-year man Nat Berhe is primed to fill in. Berhe missed all of last season with a calf injury. The 2014 fifth-round pick has never started an NFL game on defense.
