The New York Giants are 2-0 for the first time since 2009. Let’s check some of the post-game reaction from players, both via social media and from the locker room.

From the locker room

“I'm getting pretty comfortable. Last week I had a few mistakes that I wanted to clean up this week. I was able to do that. Just focusing in practice, staying in a little bit later for meetings. But I feel like I'm picking it up and getting more comfortable. I see that progressing as the season goes on.”

“It’s so great to see him. First quarter, comes out and catches one. He goes for 40, makes people miss. Unfortunately, they pop it out. As a receiver, it’s hard to get over humps and overcome adversity. He did that. He came up with the biggest catch of the game at the right time. Put us in position to win the game. If it wasn’t for that, it could’ve went to overtime, they could’ve got the ball back. Anything could’ve happened. He stepped up and made a play when we needed one.”

“Eli alerted the fly. Gave me a fly route on the outside. I knew he was going to give me a shot and once I got into my route and saw the ball in the air, I knew I had to make a play for my team. I knew I had to go up and get it. And that's exactly what I did.”

— Cruz on his game-changing catch

“Not necessarily, to be honest. I wanted to kind of just work my way in, catch the ball, catch things that are in front of me, make the plays that are presented to me. But, to make a game-winning touchdown catch a week ago and to come in and make a pretty decisive catch on the sideline, to pretty much seal the game, I can't draw it up any other way, I don't know, I just go out there and play the game. I think I'm getting better as these weeks go on, as these practices continue, and I just want to continue to build off of that.”

— Cruz on whether he expected to make such a big impact in his first two games

“These last two games are very similar to the start of last year and obviously the finishes are what the difference is. We are able to find ways to make the plays that we need in crucial moments.”
