Kevin Harlan’s fan-on-field play call is the best thing you will listen to today

It was also the best thing about 49ers-Rams

If you live on the east coast and you didn’t stay up to watch the second game of the Monday Night Football double header, a snooze fest of a game between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams, no one can blame you.

In terms of a game all you missed was a non-competitive 28-0 rout by San Fran. what you also missed, though, was Kevin Harlan’s hilarious play call of a fan running on the field late in the game.

With a hat tip to our friends at Niners Nation for posting it, here is the transcription of the call, which you can listen to above.

"Hey somebody has run out on the field. Some goofball in a hat and a red shirt. Now he takes off the shirt! He’s running down the middle by the 50, he’s at the 30! He’s bare-chested and banging his chest. Now, he runs the opposite way. He runs to the 50! He runs to the 40! The guy is drunk, but there he goes! The 20 — they’re chasing him, but they’re not going to get him. Waving his arms, bare-chested; somebody stop that man! Oh they got him, they’re coming from the left — oh and they tackle him at the 40-yard line!

That was the most exciting thing to happen tonight."
