Giants-Cowboys inactives: Jonathan Casillas, Darian Thompson will play

The New York Giants’ inactive list for Sunday’s season-opening game against the Dallas Cowboys features safety Mykkele Thompson and offensive lineman Will Beatty, both moves that might be considered mildly surprising.

Mykkele Thompson being inactive means the Giants are confident that Darian Thompson (shoulder) will be a full go. Beatty, signed right before the final preseason game, is apparently not ready for live action.

Jonathan Casillas, who has been battling a rib injury since the third preseason game, will play.
