The New York Giants reached the 75-man roster limit on Tuesday by releasing 11 players and placing one on injured reserve. They also stunningly brought back offensive tackle Will Beatty, who is expected to compete for the right tackle job.
The biggest names of players cut by the Giants on Tuesday were defensive back Bennett Jackson and safety Cooper Taylor.
The Giants placed reserve offensive tackle Byron Stingily on injured reserve with a concussion.

Jackson, a 2014 sixth-round pick, never saw the field in regular-season action during two seasons, with knee injuries landing him on IR both times.
Taylor, a 2013 fifth-round pick. had an injury-plagued Giants' career and never made a real impact.
