New York Giants training camp primer, schedule, live updates

Everything you need to know as training camp opens

NFL: New York Giants-OTA Ed Mulholland-USA TODAY Sports

And we’re off! Our long, torturous offseason is over as players for the New York Giants report to the team’s practice facility on Thursday to begin training camp. Physicals and a conditioning test will be conducted on Thursday, with the first practice set for 10:40 a.m. ET on Friday.

The Giants enter a new era with the beginning of training camp. Ben McAdoo is now the head coach, replacing Tom Coughlin after three straight losing seasons brought an end to his 12-year tenure.

Players will be available to the media for a couple of hours in the morning, and McAdoo will hold a press conference at 12:50 p.m. Yours truly won’t be attending today’s media availabilities, but we will have anything noteworthy for you as quickly as possible, and will have full reports once transcripts become available.
