Giants news, 5/9: CB Matt Smalley says he's a Giant

Let's catch up on the latest Giants news, including signings from rookie minicamp.

Cornerback Matt Smalley, who played collegiately at Lafayette, became the second tryout player to take to social media to announce that he has been signed to a contract by the New York GiantsThe other was Ishaq Williams.

Smalley, 5-foot-9, 184 pounds, was a four-time Patriot League first-team selection. He also has experience returning kickoffs.

Tony Pauline of Draft Insider says "Smalley is best in a zone system or backed off the line of scrimmage and offers possibilities as a dime back/return specialist on Sunday."

The Giants have not officially announced either signing.
