Cornerback Matt Smalley, who played collegiately at Lafayette, became the second tryout player to take to social media to announce that he has been signed to a contract by the New York Giants. The other was Ishaq Williams.

Smalley, 5-foot-9, 184 pounds, was a four-time Patriot League first-team selection. He also has experience returning kickoffs.
Tony Pauline of Draft Insider says "Smalley is best in a zone system or backed off the line of scrimmage and offers possibilities as a dime back/return specialist on Sunday."
The Giants have not officially announced either signing.
