90-man roster preview: How much longer will Zak DeOssie be a Giant?

Other than Eli Manning, long-snapper Zak DeOssie is the only player still on the roster from the New York Giants 2007 Super Bowl-winning team. How much longer will the 32-year-old DeOssie be a Giant, or even an NFL player? Let's take a look at the veteran long-snapper as we continue player-by-player profiles of the 90-man roster the Giants will bring to training camp.

2015 Season in Review

DeOssie finished the 2015 season on injured reserve, missing the final four games. That marked the first time in his nine-year career DeOssie had missed any time. Always quick to get down field in punt coverage, DeOssie finished with five tackles, four solo, in punt and kickoff coverage.

2016 Season Outlook

DeOssie is currently not the only long-snapper on the roster as he is joined by Tyler Ott, who snapped for the Giants in their final game last season. It is, however, hard to imagine DeOssie not being a Giant when the 2016 regular season begins. After 2016? DeOssie is on a one-year, $1.1 million contract ($275K guaranteed) and it would seem like a year-by-year thing at this point.
