It is just the second day of practices for the New York Giants, and the first day of team drills, but already they have lost two players to injury. Reports that running back Orleans Darkwa suffered a fractured tibia at some point in the offseason program. It doesn't appear to be a major injury and he is being held out of minicamp, missing a month of the offseason as a "precaution".
On Wednesday, the second day day of practices, and first day of team drills, receiver Ben Edwards was carted off after suffering an apparent leg injury.

Those at Giants camp reported that Edwards appeared to injure his knee making a sliding catch during 11 on 11 drills. More disturbingly, it was reportedly a "bad" injury and he appeared to be in "a lot of pain".
Edwards became a fan favorite in the 2015 camp before suffering an injury. He ultimately landed on the Giants' practice squad before being promoted to the 53-man roster late in 2015. Hopefully the injury looked worse than it is, and the young man has a speedy recovery.
Perhaps the Mr. Mara and Mr. Tisch should have invited Pope Frances to perform an exorcism of the Giants' facilities while he was in town, in addition to hiring a new strength and conditioning staff and revamping their training facilities.
