Add another name to the list of players the New York Giants have reportedly shown interest in on the first day of the "legal tampering" portion of 2016 NFL free agency. The Giants reportedly expressed interest in Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman Mike Harris.
Who is Harris?
Harris is a 27-year-old four-year veteran who started all 16 games at guard for the Vikings in 2015. Pro Football Focus gave him a grade of 76.9 in 1,097 snaps. That would make Harris a mid-level starter.
Harris is a 6-foot-5, 338-pound behemoth. His apparent versatility may also appeal to the Giants. He has also started games during his career with Minnesota at both left and right tackle. The Vikings converted him to guard last season. He has made 33 starts in 48 career games. Harris reportedly has a two-year, $3.5 million offer on the table from Minnesota, but looks to be shopping for a better one.
Earlier, of course, a report came out that the Giants were one of the teams interested in highly-coveted free-agent right tackle Mitchell Schwartz.
