Top Storylines to Follow
How will Jalen Ramsey fare?
Ranked as the best defensive back in the class, Ramsey is sure to attract a lot of attention during the combine. He is expected to put on a show during the workouts and if all things work as projected, Ramsey will be a longshot to be a member of the New York Giants.
Who are the top free safety prospects?
The free safety position has been in flux ever since last offseason for the Giants. The Giants might look to shore up with free safety depth through the draft and there are several players to look out for as potential Giants. Names to look out for include Karl Joseph, Vonn Bell, Darian Thompson and Keanu Neal.
A Prince Amukamara replacement?
With Prince Amukamara set to being a free agent, the Giants may look for his replacement in the draft. Though with all the injuries that hit the secondary, more cornerback depth may be needed regardless. Vernon Hargreaves and Mackensie Alexander look to being first round prospects. Hargreaves especially needs a strong combine after measuring a little on the small side at 5-foot-10, 204 pounds with 30-inch arms. Alexander believes he will prove to be the best cornerback in the class. Also on the lookout is rapid riser Eli Apple, who has the size and physical tools that match up well with the physical specimens at the wide receiver position.
