Number 6 on our list of the top 10 New York Giants Super Bowl moments comes from Super Bowl XLVI, and it is one of the stranger moments in Super Bowl history.
No. 6 -- Ahmad Bradshaw's reluctant touchdown
Super Bow XLVI, Feb. 5, 2012 -- Should he have scored? Should he not have scored? Would the New England Patriots have actually escorted him into the end zone, since their players said they had been instructed to let the Giants score on the play? No matter. Ahmad Bradshaw's butt-first touchdown on a 6-yard run with 1:04 left gave the Giants the lead as they defeated the Patriots, 21-17, for the Giants' fourth Super Bowl title.
"I took the handoff and said, 'Don't score, don't score,' " Bradshaw said. "I tried to get down, but my momentum took me in."
After the Bradshaw touchdown, New England quarterback Tom Brady had time to work with but the Patriots never crossed midfield as the Giants' defense held.
