The New York Giants are leaving no stone unturned in trying to find talent to upgrade their 2016 roster. The Giants have officially announced the signing of French wide receiver Anthony Dable, who played in the German Football League (yes, there is such a thing) the past two seasons. The news was first reported by NJ Advance Media earlier on Thursday.
The 6-foot-5, 215-pound Dable is 27 years old. He caught 145 passes for nearly 2,500 yards and 32 touchdowns the past two seasons in Germany.
Dable had been invited to a regional combine in Minnesota before signing with the Giants.
Dable will be a long shot to make the team, but the Giants obviously saw enough during a recent workout to give him an opportunity.
Marcus Harris, also a wide receiver, tweeted on Wednesday that he won't be back with the Giants. Perhaps that has to do with the signing of Dable.
