There are no real surprises on the New York Giants’ pre-practice injury report for Wednesday as they look toward their Week 17 game against the Washington Redskins.
Safety Nat Berhe and linebacker B.J. Goodson are in the concussion protocol. For Goodson, the rookie fourth-round pick, the timing is unfortunate. It is possible Goodson could have seen extended playing time in the regular-season finale, but the concussion will probably sideline him. Berhe is dealing with his second extended absence this season due to a concussion as he has now missed the last four games. You have to wonder about the third-year player’s future.
Cornerback Janoris Jenkins, held out of last Thursday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles with a bruised back, remains on the report, as does defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul. There is some speculation that JPP could return for the opening round of the playoffs, though that is uncertain.
Tight end Will Tye is dealing with an illness.
