Cowboys 7, Giants 0: Where is the offense?

Your second-half open thread

NFL: Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Giants‘ defense has been pulling their weight. The offense, on the other hand seems to have neglected to even show up.

Dragged down by abysmal offensive line play across the board, the Giants’ offense has largely been an embarrassment to the franchise and professional football in general. Eli Manning has been sacked twice, complete with a pair of fumbles, though neither has lead to points for the Cowboys. Even when Manning stays upright the offense has been barely functional.

The Defense has largely played well against the Dallas offense, sacking Dak Prescott twice, picking him off once. Romeo Okwara got the start in relief of Jason Pierre-Paul, and has played reasonably well, getting the first sack of his career, though the run defense has suffered. Given absolutely no help from the offense, the defense has done impressively well to keep the Giants in the game

After being activated from the injured reserve, running back Shane Vereen has been ruled out with a concussion.
