The New York Giants have yet to play on Thursday Night this season but tonight will be very important nonetheless as the Dallas Cowboys visit the Minnesota Vikings. As was the case last week on Thanksgiving, rooting interests are complicated. On one hand, the hated Cowboys are the NFC East division leaders. If only one team beats the Cowboys and the Giants take care of business during their matchup at Metlife Stadium, then the Giants can take the division lead. Seeing as the rest of the NFL apparently has no interest in debating the Cowboys, then rooting for the Vikings to lose would be very helpful in securing a wild-card spot in a tightening race.
The Cowboys as we all know are on a torrid 10-game winning streak. The Vikings are the opposite. After starting hot, they have lost five of their past six and have been struggling heavily on offense. Penciled in as probable division winners after Week 3, the Vikings are now fighting for a wild-card spot. Their downfall has made the Vikings the underdogs in their own stadium against the Cowboys.
