The New York Giants (8-3) are underdogs for the first time in recent weeks as they take their six-game winning streak into Heinz Field to meet the 6-5 Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. SB Nation’s NFL Odds lists the Steelers as six-point favorites over the surging G-men.

The Giants are looking to hang on to their 1.5-game lead for the top wild card spot in the NFC as they enter the toughest part of their schedule. After the Steelers, the Giants will play their final two home games against the Detroit Lions and NFC East-leading Dallas Cowboys, before closing the regular season on the road with all-important divisional matchups against the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins. Those five teams have a combined 27-15-1 record (.628 winning percentage).

Pittsburgh is tied with the Baltimore Ravens (6-5) atop the AFC North but Baltimore holds the head-to-head tiebreaker. The two teams will meet again on Christmas Day. The Steelers are also in the AFC wild card race, trailing the 7-4 Miami Dolphins by a game for the final spot in the NFL playoffs.
