The New York Giants released their final injury report before their Sunday showdown with the Chicago Bears, and it had good news and bad news for the team.
Starting with the bad news, offensive guards Justin Pugh and Brett Jones have been ruled out for Sunday with leg injuries.
That will likely press Marshall Newhouse back into service as the left guard. Adam Gettis, Newhouse's platoon mate at guard Monday night, is listed as questionable, as is running back Orleans Darkwa.
On to the good news, the Giants will be getting a pair of receivers back.
Victor Cruz, who missed Monday night's game with a sprained ankle is not listed on the injury report. Neither is Dwayne Harris, who might be the toughest man in the NFL, after leaving Monday's game with a toe injury. The return of Cruz gives Eli Manning another reliable target and helps to take pressure off promising UDFA rookie Roger Lewis Jr. The Giants special teams will also welcome the return of Harris, who is a key player on all the Giants' special teams units.
