You knew this was coming. WFAN radio host Mike Francesa went off Monday afternoon on Odell Beckham following the New York Giants’ star receiver’s post-game comments after receiving an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty during the Giants’ 24-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Love him or hate him, Francesa’s rants can be gold. His pained sighs and interrupting the clip of Beckham’s post-game interview with “Forget it, he’s gone” is classic.
“Folks, that what you just heard is everything that is wrong,” said Francesa after listening to Beckham go on about how “if I sneeze the wrong way it’ll be a flag, it’ll be a fine. If I tie my shoe the wrong way it might be a fine or a flag.
Francesa criticized Beckham for “this whole victim deal” and said he “overreacted” to a hit by Xavier Rhodes of Minnesota.
Francesa added that we might be seeing “the absolute ruination of a great talent.”
Say what you want about Beckham or Francesa, Beckham’s whining combined with Francesa’s reaction is worth a listen.
