With the New York Giants missing from the airwaves Sunday as they conclude their bye week, there are only two games of real interest on tap for Giants’ fans today. One begins the day, as the Washington Redskins face the Cincinnati Bengals in London. The other ends the day, as the NFC East-leading Dallas Cowboys host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football.
Let’s break down your Sunday viewing guide, of course focusing on those two games.
Redskins (4-3) at Bengals (3-4), FOX, 9:30 a.m. ET
Washington and Cincinnati will meet in London on Sunday morning. Can the Bengals, who the Giants will see in a few weeks, help the Giants out here? The Redskins and Giants have identical records, but Washington has the edge because of its Week 3 victory over the Giants.
The Bengals are 3-point favorites.
Eagles (4-2) at Cowboys (5-1), NBC, 8:30 p.m.
For the Giants, the absolute best thing that could happen here would be a Philadelphia victory. That, of course, would bring Dallas back to the pack just a bit and make the Giants’ climb toward the top of the division just a bit more reachable.
This, of course, is the first meeting between rookie quarterbacks Carson Wentz of the Eagles and Dak Prescott of the Cowboys. You get the feeling these two are going to be intertwined for a while.
Dallas is a 4.5-point favorite.
