New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch said Friday that he is “proud” to have Odell Beckham Jr. in the organization and that former coach Tom Coughlin is “100 percent part of our family.”
Tisch was speaking at the annual Champions for Children’s Gala to benefit Coughlin’s Jay Fund.
Tisch said he spoke to Beckham recently:
"Odell and I discussed the first four games of the season, we spoke before the Green Bay game," Tisch said prior to the gala. "He is remarkably aware of his talent, his roles on the New York Giants. He's also remarkably aware of the spotlight that shines on him during every game. And it's a process. I think he is dealing with it every Sunday, and his awareness is very appropriate. The responsibility he has as a New York Giant. And I'm proud to say he's one of the New York Giants. He's an amazingly talented, gifted athlete, and a wonderful young man."
Of the former Giants’ coach, Tisch had this to say:
“Through the Jay Fund and the Giants' involvement and commitment to the Jay Fund, Tom is going to be with us for many, many more years,” Steve Tisch said. “It’s totally reciprocal. He’s 100 percent part of the Giants family, and the Giants family is 100 percent part of the Jay Fund.”
