It looks like the New York Giants can cross one candidate off their list of potential head coaches. The Miami Dolphins will reportedly hire Adam Gase to be their next head coach.
The Giants interviewed Gase on Friday and have interviewed several others as well. The Giants do not currently have any interviews scheduled with coaches from playoff teams, despite some interest in Panthers' defensive coordinator Sean McDermott and being linked to Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.
With Tom Coughlin scheduled to interview with the Philadelphia Eagles for their vacant head coaching position, the clock seems to be ticking more loudly on the Giants' coaching search.
The Giants have interviewed Ben McAdoo, Steve Spagnuolo, Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin and Gase for their head-coaching job. They are scheduled to interview ex-Syracuse and Buffalo Bills coach Doug Marrone on Saturday.
