New, comments

Veteran coach apparently wants to return to the East Coast.

Amber Searls-USA TODAY Sports

You didn't think an entire day could get by without at least one rumor of a potential addition to the New York Giants coaching staff making the rounds, did you?Paul Pasqualoni, former Syracuse and UConn head coach and a veteran of several NFL stops, has reportedly interviewed for the team's vacant defensive line coach post.

The only remaining positions on the staff of new head coach Ben McAdoo, at least according to what has been reported, are the defensive line and strength and conditioning posts.

Paqualoni spent the 2015 season as defensive line coach of the Houston Texans. He reportedly resigned from the Texans to be closer to his family here on the East Coast.

Pasqualoni was the head coach at Syracuse from 1991-2004 and Connecticut from 2011-2013.

His NFL experience is as follows:

2005-2007 -- Dallas Cowboys (TE/LB)

2008-2009 -- Miami Dolphins (DC)

2010 -- Dallas Cowboys (DC/DL)

2014 -- Chicago Bears (DL)

2015 -- Texans (DL)
